More Than Just Moves

Being a local and long-distance moving company in Durham, NC, means we’re always focused on the road ahead. But for us, that means more than just the next destination. It means thinking about the future of our community and our planet. We believe that being a good neighbor involves taking care of planet Earth, the home we all share. These aren’t just new policies for us; they are practices we have invested in for years. It’s just how we do business.

Why Choose Us?

People, Planet and Proft

Rooted in Our Community

Being a Raleigh-Durham based business is about more than just our address, it’s about being a good neighbor. We are proud to actively support the local organizations that make our community strong. We dedicate our resources and outreach to groups doing incredible work, including the Shriners Hospitals for Children, the Emerson Waldorf School, the Durham Ballet Theater, the Durham Rescue Mission, and the Sertoma Club. When you choose us, you’re supporting a business that invests right back into the health, arts, and well-being of the home we all share.

Career Crews: Experience You Can Trust

In an industry known for temporary help, our team is different. The majority of our crew members are career movers who have been with us for over ten years. This isn’t just a gig for them; it’s a profession. That decade of shared experience means seamless teamwork, expert problem-solving on the fly, and a level of professionalism you that makes your move stress-free.

We're Homeowners, Too. We Get It.

There’s a big difference when the person carrying your furniture understands what a home truly means. More than half of our employees are also homeowners. They have their own mortgages, their own treasured belongings, and their own walls that they like to keep scratch free. This brings a deep, personal respect for your property and the care your move deserves. We don’t just move boxes; we handle the pieces of your home with the same care we’d want for our own.

The Buzz in Our Warehouse Walls

About six years ago, we got some new neighbors. A massive colony of honeybees decided one of the walls of our warehouse/office building was the perfect place to build their home. Instead of calling an exterminator, we welcomed them. We know how vital pollinators are to our ecosystem, so we let them be. They are a constant, buzzing reminder for our team that we share our space with nature, and we have a responsibility to protect it. They don’t pay rent, but they do a world of good.

A Decade of Clean Energy

Long before it was a trend, we looked at our huge warehouse roof and saw an opportunity. For over ten years, that roof has been covered with a solar panel array that helps power our operations. It reduces our draw from the grid and harnesses clean, renewable energy right from the source. It also helps power the EVs that we use for free estimates. It was a big investment, but one we knew was right for controlling our electric bill, and for reducing our carbon footprint.

From Our Patch to Our People

We believe in feeding the community spirit. That’s why we have a community garden right on our property for our employees, friends, and neighbors. It all started with organic heirloom seeds and soil. It’s a place where our team can get their hands dirty, grow their own fresh vegetables, and connect with each other outside of a moving truck and our busy office. It helps us all slow down and appreciate the simple things.
