Both crews did a fantastic job with the packing and the move. Terry was super nice and understanding, and the crew was very serious: they arrived right on time each day, packed everything carefully, and did a fantastic job unmounting and mounting the furniture. Highly recommend!

This is an exceptional moving company. We used Truckin' for cross country move NC to Cal. The whole team is a class act from Brad in Sales/Ops, to Alfredo and the packing and loading teams teams who were laser focused on detail and doing a careful job, and the truly wonderful California unloading team led by Antonio. I hired Truckin Movers because they were a small local owned business and they did not disappoint. I inherited some vintage furniture that was very sentimental and valuable and needed movers from NY to NC. Not only was their quote excellent, but their service was even more amazing. The sales team was very responsive as I had to move everything quickly and the crew took excellent care of my furniture. I have finally recovered from moving my family across country. The easiest part was the actual moving because of Truckin' Movers. We recently worked with Truckin Movers for the 4th time. In each move, we have been very impressed with their professionalism and genuine care for their customers. Our latest move was a very short notice move of my mother from one assisted living facility 250 miles away to another near home. I have personally not moved but I referred some friends to Truckin' Movers for when they moved and they couldn't thank me enough for connecting them with Doug, Jeff and the crew at TMC! They were so stressed about moving from NC to NY and homes weren't ready and TMC stored everything for them until they were ready to have it all brought into their new home! The first time I referred them, a client of mine who owns a lawfirm was moving across town to a new office. The team was very helpful to my client and his entire staff. They did some of the packing and helped to move a lot of big cabinets, computers, desks and all the other things that come when an office moves to a new location.
The second time, which is really the more important of the two, was when T.M moved my mother-in-law. The team was very respectful to her and my wife. They went above and beyond the call of duty during the move, which made me look good in the eyes of my mother in law.
There is no doubt, Truckin' Movers will be the one and only moving company to get all my referrals in the future!

What a wonderful experience we had from start to finish! Brad was great at explaining the process and easy to work with. Our move was within the same town on a very hot day. The moving team, Chris L, Cesar, Xavier, and Jonathon were professional, courteous, quick, thorough and patient. They were careful of all of our items. We used Truckin' Movers for our move from Durham, NC to Louisville, KY. Brad was great to work with from the beginning. We had a really bad experience with a moving company previously, so we had a lot of questions and concerns. Brad was incredibly patient with our many questions and always kind in his responses. He explained things clearly and was very reassuring and calm throughout the whole process. We had his team take a load to short term storage so we could have room to paint our house before the full move, and this all went very smoothly. When it was time for our final move, the movers were so professional and efficient. They loaded up our entire house in much less time than we anticipated and were very careful with how they treated our belongings. When I would tell people about our scheduled delivery date, they'd mostly respond with "I hope it comes then!", but Truckin' Movers means what they say when it comes to delivery times, and they arrived at our new home right on schedule. Our new house had a few surprises for us with tight corners that made moving some of our furniture tricky, but the guys handled it like total pros by getting creative with their approach to moving items in and clearly communicating with us when there were a few items that just weren't going to fit in the tight staircase to the second level. It was just plain physics that kept those items from fitting, not their lack of trying! We were highly satisfied with Truckin' Movers and would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

From the start, Truckin’ Movers were easy to work with. Jen was personable and efficient, Brad explained all the services and how we could make the move happen more smoothly. Terry and his crew masterfully and quickly loaded our things into the van. They packed paintings and lamps safely for us. Terry and Chris helped us resolve an issue at the storage unit and then worked hard and well together to get everything into storage. The team of movers coordinating a long distance move from Durham, N.C. to Maryland were extremely efficient, congenial, and respectful of our spaces and furniture. They were quick!

I had a great experience with Truckin’ Movers. The entire team -- sales, office, and movers -- was professional, courteous, and responsive. Brad was super detail-oriented during the planning phase and very flexible at the last minute, since I added on a large item the day of the pick-up. The moving team was excellent. They were on time, dependable and very courteous. I had several large, fragile items that were delivered in perfect condition. They were very careful in moving the furniture and very responsive upon arrival to my requests to shift larger items into different positions. Best move ever. I would definitely use them again!

We had a somewhat complicated local move -- sold a large house as we were just starting to build a new house (living in temporary quarters in the meantime). I wasn't quite sure how all that was going to work -- but Truckin' Movers made it so easy and pleasant. Everything was picked up and put into containers that were then safely stored for over a year in their climate controlled facilities before arriving and getting unloaded at our new home. One wishes everything could go that smoothly -- from Jeff coordinating it all to the moving crews that handled everything with great care and professionalism.

I can't begin to convey my satisfaction with Truckin' Movers! Between my wife, myself and my mother, our move with Truckin' was our fifth long-distance event since 2019 (Thanks, Pandemic!!!). It was by far our best. From Brad's logistical coordination to Terry's hands-on work (He was soooo sweet to my mom) to conversing with Doug, I wasn't working with a "crew," but people that seemed to care. Truckin' is the way to go - these cats are the best!

This review is for a residential move within the same city. Beginning with the in-person estimate visit, Jeff was very easy to talk to and very professional. He went into detail about all items to be packed and provided a detailed quote following the visit.
I was initially a bit disappointed on move day since there were less crew members than originally planned, but I am very grateful that Jeff and others at the office jumped in right away to make it right. I ended up having an extra crew member so that the overall move happened within the estimated timeframe (it ended up being a little less time than originally anticipated).
From the beginning of the day till the end of the move, the crew worked diligently and carefully. None of our belongings were damaged. The crew was very respectful at all times. I would definitely recommend and use Truckin' Movers again.

WOW! a move is stressful and daunting, especially a cross country move. Truckin' Movers totally eased our minds and made the experience a real soft landing. Our move was complex in being cross country, and we don't exactly travel light, lots of books, outdoor goods, shop items, crystal - you name it, we have it. We utilized Truckin' Movers for pack services in CA, cross country transit, storage, and unpack in Durham, NC. Truckin' navigated on all points with professionalism, excellence, insight and humor. The sub-contracted N CA team was very connected to Doug and his team in Durham, the guys were awesome, skilled, hardworking, friendly, helpful. All our goods arrived. Breakage happens, even in the best circumstances, but I've yet to find so much as a broken dish. Incredible care was taken with our possessions and that is priceless. The team in Durham was wonderfully tolerant of a not quite finished house on the Durham side, coordinating with painters and sub-contractors with grace and humor. James and the Durham team were incredibly accommodating and helpful in placing our possessions in the right places and they moved with such coordination and skill. I hope we're landed and never move again, but if we do, it will absolutely be with Doug and his team at Truckin' Movers. We recommend them absolutely to see you home!

2 years ago we hired truckin' movers as we planned to move down to the coast. The moving guys were excellent, friendly, helpful, very conscientious about our furniture and breakables and we felt very confident with their work. They put everything into storage while we tried to find a new house. We couldn't find anything close to the quality of our existing home, therefore we had the movers bring everything back to our house and we moved back in! My good friend, Jeff Philips was so impressed by the company, he decided to go work for them! I would definitely recommend giving Jeff a call if you are looking for a quality moving company.

I had two very large whole building compressors that I needed removed. Each was over 2000 pounds and there was minimal height clearance for removal. It took a crew of 4 people to get the machines out. They did a great a great job and were sure to not damage the ceiling. I was happy with the level of communication and service we received. I would definitely recommend.

We moved from Chapel Hill to Boston and had a wonderful, seamless experience. I heard of so many horror stories of moving companies especially with interstate moves. But when we met Brad for our walk-through/quote, our concerns were put at rest. He was detailed, honest, and it was evident that he had a lot of experience. Overall, everyone in the company was responsive and easy to work with. Our moving team leader was James who was great to work with. He and his team helped us pack our "breakables" even in the midst of a tropical storm. Overall, the team was efficient, hard-working, and happy. They loaded everything on a Friday and arrived the following Tuesday. (They do not work on the weekends fyi.) To our knowledge, nothing was broken! Moving is so hard, but they made it as seamless as possible. We would highly recommend them!

I knew I was in great hands from the start thanks to excellent orientation and followup with Brad. He worked with us through several iterations of the move list, and provided excellent insight into the process.
The moving team itself was equally phenomenal - everything was wrapped in blankets, taped to keep in place, and carefully secured on the trucks.
Everything was placed perfectly in place in the new home, including washer/dryer hookups. Further complicating the move - an extensive set of tools, and garage cabinets. All was moved without a single incident.

How do you charge for international moves
International moving is charged based on weight and volume. Because ocean shipping rates are based on volume, we are very careful to load your shipment in as little space as possible.
How do you cover moving damage?
- We offer two levels of cargo coverage on all international moves called minimum value and replacement value.
- The first level is offered on all moves at no additional charge. There is a charge to increase the coverage to replacement value. Click on this link to see the details of this coverage and the rates for each.
How large is the truck / container?
- For small moves we use long distance containers. These containers hold about one room of furniture and are brought to your location inside one of our 26’ straight trucks.
- These trucks are a little longer and taller than the largest sized U-haul truck.
- For larger shipments we use 20’ and 40’ steel ocean containers. We are able to bring these containers close to most locations for loading or unloading.
How are customs documents handled?
- We prepare all customs documents that are needed for leaving the country.
- Once the shipment has departed the U.S. we email you the “ocean bill of lading” and instructions for clearing customs at the destination.
Do you have any minimum charges?
Yes, the minimum volume for an international shipment is 40 cubic feet.
