While I have not personally used Truckin' Movers yet, I have referred several clients and friends who ultimately used... Truckin' Movers both locally and for interstate moves. I called late on a Monday afternoon. I asked to get a hot tub moved down a flight of steps and about 10 yards away from... the deck. The deck crew had said they could take care of it while they were renewing the deck - but then they couldn't. When asked when I'd like it moved I asked for Wednesday or Thursday. After making sure it was day after tomorrow I needed she gave me a very reasonable quote and made the appointment. I sent a picture of the move as requested. The guys showed up exactly on time and did a wonderful job in short order. Because of Truckin' Movers abilities the deck project could move forward. The entire move was much easier than we had expected due to Truckin' Movers. We had accumulated 25+ years of "stuff"... that needed to move with us. We did our best to pack everything we could. When moving day came we realized there were many things we never got to. Thanks to the experienced crew, everything went smoother than we had imagined was possible.They wrapped everything we hadn't and re-wrapped several items to provide more protection that we had given them.When the crew arrived at our new home (on time), nearly 500 miles away, they moved our "stuff" into our new home and placed everything exactly were we wanted it. They put back together anything that had be taken apart for the move, unpacked our most fragile pieces, cleaned up all of the packing supplies and were gone.The "crew" was nothing less than outstanding. Clean, courteous, hard working and professional.We are still unpacking boxes of "stuff" and are yet to find anything broken. scratched, nicked.....If we ever have to move again we would hire Truckin' Movers in a second.read more

The packers showed up right on time and did an immediate walk through of the house with us so they knew exactly what... went. They got to work right away and started loading everything on to the truck. They wrapped all the TV's mirrors, pictures and furniture very carefully and packed it on the truck so that we used the least amount of space possible. By the time it was packed we were only over a tiny bit from the estimate that was given. From the estimate to the finished delivery, the entire Truckin' Movers staff was amazing and very professional. I would highly recommend them for any move!read more

I recently used Truckin' Movers Corporation on 3/12/20 and I highly recommend this company for all of your moving... needs. Starting off with Ms. Noelle who is the office manager and salesperson, she was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and made me feel completely comfortable throughout this process. After researching many companies and comparing rates and reviews, I would have to say that she was the sole reason why I chose Truckin Movers. She took the time to understand my moving needs and answered the many questions that I had since this was my first time using a moving company. When the day of the actual move arrived, I met the crew (Alfredo, Salvador, Milton and Wayne), who were all extremely friendly and professional as well and made sure to take the best of care of all my furniture. They even handed me little pieces of jewelry that they found on the carpet in my daughters room when taking down the bed and while moving the dresser. They were very trustworthy and worked as quickly as possible to complete the job while making sure to protect my furniture and the walls of my new house along the way. I could not have asked for a smoother move. I moved across the country and nothing was lost or damaged. I even had them... store my stuff and car for a few months and everything was in perfect condition when it arrived. The movers were super nice, professional, and punctual. They gave me a guaranteed delivery date which no other company could and delivered on time. The staff was responsive and transparent. Truckin’ Movers Corporation is simply the best! We used them to move 9,500 lbs. from NC to PA in 2014 and almost 17,000... lbs. back to NC in 2019. Both times were smooth and damage free. We were not as prepared for the move back to NC as we would have liked to be but experienced crew leader James and his crew knew just what to do and finished up the necessary packing! My wife had used them 3 times previously for local moving and 2 of those times included some short term storage. All moves were seamless and with no damages!read more

UPDATE: Our move occurred mid-June. After initially posting a review, TM got much more cooperative. They paid someone... to come out and repair our furniture. He did a great job. Around Halloween we finally got our floor fixed. Now they have asked me to post an update. It's true that after 4.5 months they finally fixed everything they could. However some things (lost jewelry, expensive vacuum, broken glasses, etc) will never be fixed or replaced. They did eventually take care of the big issues, but I stand by my original review. I do not recommend TM. I'm glad others had a positive experience, but mine was nothing but agony.(I moved this review because I accidentally posted through my daughter's account) This was by far the WORST moving experience I've ever had. The movers in Durham left a HUGE mess in our house. It was filled with empty bottles and other assorted junk. It was completely trashed. The head guy asked the others to go back and clean up, but no one did. I don't have enough space to list all the items that were broken, so I'll list the big ones. First, they piled so much heavy stuff on top of my (nearly) antique solid wood headboard that it cracked down the entire right side. It's going to take a special bracket on the inside to make it usable again. Meanwhile, my daughter is sleeping on a mattress on the floor. They also put a huge gouge in my (actual) antique dresser, which they also lost the hardware for. They also lost hardware for my daughter's vanity.Then there is the headboard, wall shelf, ottoman, and the leg off a very antique library cabinet. Our contact person, Brad, was all helpful and "anything you need" until the delivery company tried to get hold of him the night of the move to find out what he wanted to do about the damage. Then he ignored calls and texts. We finally got hold of him around 11:30 EST and he was short and dismissive. The 2nd day I discovered more damage and he sent two curt texts stating that he was no longer involved and to wait for a text from their claims person. The claims process is lengthy. It requires more photographs than I had taken at my wedding and more paperwork than it took to sell our old house AND buy our new one. I have no idea when the process will be finished, but I'm hoping maybe my grandchildren will collect (for reference our daughter is 12). And now let's get to the subcontractor. It started when the movers (that TM hired for us without any consultations) refused to put boxes anywhere except the living room. I asked one of them (who claimed to be in charge) if he needed anything. He said that "If you could start taking some of these boxes and putting them where they go, that'd be great." He then proceeded to go back to the truck, and I didn't see him again for the rest of the move. Five men came out to our house, but only 2 did any real work. Two of them stayed in the truck and smoked cigarettes for the entire time (including the gentleman I mentioned earlier). One would come in with a load about every 10-20 minutes and dump it in the living room. If I (or any of his coworkers) asked him to put the boxes anywhere else (you know, like the room that was clearly labeled on the box), he acted like he couldn't hear us and went back outside. So basically, it was 2 guys and my husband and I doing all the moving. The truck driver came back and sat for close to 2 hours because he expected them to be done way before they were. It took close to 10 hours just to unload the truck. We have a barely 2,000 sq ft house, and have moved all of this before, so we know that there is NO WAY it should have taken this long. Because they didn't finish until 10:00 at night, none of our furniture was in the right place, and all but one guy left by about 9:00 anyway. I have a bad back and a bad hip and shouldn't be lifting, pulling, or in any way moving furniture, but that's what I did the day of our move AND all the next day, and the next day, and the next day. They also gauged 3 giant holes in our floor. If I were you, I would stay as far away from Truckin Movers as I could.read more

Earlier this year when I decided to relocate and move from Miami, FL to Denver, CO, I started looking for a moving... company in which I could trust due to a very bad experience in a previous move. This time I was committed to finding the right moving company in which I could trust to act like professionals and stay within my budget. I was referred to Truckin’ Movers from a friend and decided to give it a chance after much research. After speaking with Doug Carlton the owner, I was convinced he was the right guy. Not just because he said the right things, he followed through with everything he said he would do and he explained the entire process from beginning to end. Nothing ever diverted from his description of the process.I wholly recommend Truckin’ Movers if you want peace of mind that your belongings will be safe and arrive on time. Everything was delivered as promised, only one of the items was damaged, but they handled the situation and found someone local to repair the furniture right away. The person he sent was very professional and handled the repair beautifully.I am very satisfied with them in every aspect and highly recommend them if you need a moving company you can trust and feel safe with. Great experience! I had a (very) last-minute move from Carrboro to another city in NC about 2.5 hours away. Normally... you need to give them more notice of course, but they had a cancellation and were nice enough to squeeze me into that slot with less than 48 hours notice at no extra charge. The paperwork was easy and they provided very clear instructions on how to pack and label fragile/special items, as well as what to expect on moving day. The move itself was very quick and smooth despite the amount of stuff I had. The moving crew was amazing; very friendly, polite, and efficient. They were careful with my fragile items and loaded/unloaded the truck carefully. The whole process, including the 3 hours of driving, only took about 6 hours, which I thought was really impressive for a 2 person crew, especially since I was moving out of a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator. Price was comparable to or less than quotes from other larger companies (I had requested quotes for my original moving date before it was unexpectedly pushed back). If I end up back in the Triangle and need to move again, I will use them without hesitation!read more

Top notch service from the first phone call. We searched far and wide and received many estimates for a moving company ... given all the horror stories out there. We were finally referred to truck and movers and are so glad we went with them. They did our long-distance move from San Diego to Chapel Hill and everything was exactly as stated. There was one charge at the end that we didn’t expect (but was not inappropriate) and after calling, Brad immediately refunded us with a check — which they actually didn’t even have to do... everyone was pleasant, always available, checked in to see how things were going. The dates were exactly as they stated in the agreement and we were able to pick an exact delivery date. But the most important thing is they have integrity.
