How a Truckin' move goes.
Five steps from your first call to the last box. The rest is us doing our jobs.
Our Process
No surprises. No tricks.
We've been moving families since 1976. Over 20,000 of them. Most of our crew has been here a decade or more.
Here's how a typical Truckin' move runs, start to finish. Nothing fancy. We tell you what we're going to do, and then we do it.
Step 1: We get in touch
You send a quote request. Someone on the team picks it up the same business day. Usually Jeff. Quick call or text, your preference.
We confirm the basics. Move size, where you're headed, when you need it done. No long sales pitch. Just the conversation we need to give you a real number.
Step 2: We size up the job
For most local moves, a ten-minute phone walk-through is enough. Tell us how many bedrooms, what the access is like, anything heavy or oddly shaped.
For bigger jobs (full houses, long-distance, pianos, lots of stairs) we'll come look in person. Either way, there's no charge.
Step 3: You get a written estimate
Itemized. Truck size, crew size, hourly rate, fuel, packing materials if you need them. No surprise fees on move day.
No commission salesperson trying to upsell you on stuff you don't need. If something changes between now and move day, we tell you what it changes before we do it.
Step 4: You pick a date
We book Monday through Friday. That's on purpose. Our crews get their weekends so they're sharp on Monday. You get the same crew start to finish, not a tired Saturday team.
We give you exact dates for pickup and delivery. Not a window. That's been one of our four pillars since the eighties.
Step 5: Move day
The crew shows up in a Truckin' truck, in uniform, on time. We walk through with you so you know who's handling what. Stuff gets loaded, driven, unloaded. Big items go where you want them. We don't leave until you've signed off.
For long-distance, you get specific delivery dates. Not a vague "sometime between Tuesday and Friday." For storage moves, your stuff goes into our containers and stays in the same containers from your old place to your new one. One touch handling.
Why We Do It This Way
Four pillars since the eighties
Anything, Anywhere
Residential, commercial, local, cross-country, worldwide. Packing, crating, storage, settle-in. One company, one call.
Career Employees
Average crew tenure is over ten years. Not a typo. Your move is handled by people who've done this thousands of times.
Exact Moving Dates
Specific dates for pickup and delivery anywhere in the 48 states. No “sometime between Tuesday and Friday.”
One Touch Handling
With containerized moves, your stuff is loaded and unloaded exactly once, even when storage is in the middle. Less handling, less risk.
Questions before any of that?
Easiest way to get them answered. Call us or send a quick request online. Both go to the same team, and we answer same business day.
