We've been moving families since 1976, and we don't mess with your info. You give us what we need to quote and schedule a move. We use it to quote and schedule your move. That's it. This page spells out the details.

What You Give Us

When you request a quote by phone, by email, or through the form on our Contact Us page, we collect:

• Your name
• Email address and phone number
• Origin and destination addresses (or ZIP codes)
• Preferred load and unload dates
• Details about the move (home size, specialty items, stairs, storage needs)
• How you heard about us (so we know what's working)

If you call our office, our phone system records caller ID and call duration. If you send us an email to info@truckinmovers.com, we have that email.

What Gets Collected Automatically

Our website runs on standard analytics. When you visit truckinmovers.com we record:

• IP address and approximate geographic location (city level)
• Browser, device, and operating system
• Pages visited, time on page, and referrer
• Whether you clicked to call, filled out a form, or opened the quote calculator

This data helps us understand what people are looking for and whether our pages are actually useful.

The Specific Tools We Use

We're not going to make you dig through a generic list of "third-party service providers." Here are the actual tools running on this site and what each one does:

Google Analytics (GA4)

Our measurement ID is G-NHD6HHHPV5. It records pageviews, session duration, device type, and traffic source. We don't use it for advertising retargeting. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies.

Netlify Forms

Our Contact Us and quick-quote forms are handled by Netlify Forms. Submissions land in our dashboard and are emailed to our sales team. Netlify hosts the site and processes the form data under their terms.

Google Places API

Our reviews page pulls our Google Business Profile reviews through Google's Places API. The data we show is already public on Google Maps. No personal info from you is sent to Google by this integration.

Elromco Move Calculator

The instant-quote calculator on our site is provided by Elromco. If you use it, the move details you enter (ZIPs, home size, dates) are processed by Elromco to generate an estimate. If you submit the calculator, we receive that estimate with your contact info.

How We Use Your Info

• Quote your move, confirm the crew, and run your job
• Follow up on quote requests (we'll usually call or email within a business day)
• Send invoices and confirmations
• Improve our site when we see something that isn't working
• Mail you the Liberty Bell newsletter if you asked to be on the list
• Comply with legal, tax, and insurance requirements

Text Messages (SMS)

Program: Truckin' Movers SMS. If you give us your mobile number on our quote form, through our contact form, or by phone, we may text you about your quote, scheduled move dates, crew arrival windows, and follow-up after the job. We also use texts for service-related questions and customer support replies.

Message frequency: Message frequency varies. A typical quote-to-move cycle is roughly 2 to 10 texts. Recurring messages may be sent in connection with your move.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Reply STOP to any text from us to unsubscribe at any time. Reply HELP for help.

We don't share your mobile number or SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell, rent, or trade your info. Period. The only people who see your contact info are:

• Our dispatch team at 1031 Harvest Rd in Durham, who schedules and runs your move
• Our billing system (QuickBooks), which we use to send invoices
• Our insurance and regulatory filings when required (USDOT #0233952, FMCSA #MC159007, NCUC #C-2262)
• Vendors we use to run the site (see the tools section above)

How Long We Keep It

Quote requests and move records: 7 years. This matches household-goods carrier record-keeping requirements and our insurance retention policy. Email inquiries that don't turn into moves: roughly a year. Analytics data: 14 months by default in GA4.

Your Rights

You can ask us what info we have on you, correct it, or have it deleted. Call (919) 682-2300 or email info@truckinmovers.com. We'll handle it within a reasonable time. If you're in a state with specific privacy rights (California, Virginia, Colorado, and others), those rights apply and we'll honor them.

Cookies

We use a few cookies for analytics and to remember your preferences. You can disable them in your browser. Some features might not work as well without them. We don't use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.

Data Security

Our forms post over HTTPS. Our internal systems are password-protected and only accessible to employees who need them. We're realistic: no system is perfectly secure, and we won't tell you otherwise. If there's ever a breach involving your info, we'll notify you as required by law.

Kids

Our site and services aren't for kids under 13. We don't knowingly collect info from children. If you think we have, call us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change anything material, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Big changes will also get mentioned in the Liberty Bell.
