What Moving Day Looks Like in Hope Valley
Hope Valley driveways are long, shaded, and lined with landscaping the homeowner definitely doesn't want us driving over. We've been moving families out of this Durham neighborhood for decades, so we know the drill. Position the truck carefully, lay plywood runners across the lawn when needed, pad every doorframe, and take our time getting that dining table through the hallway without scratching the hardwood.
Homes here are mostly 3-5 bedrooms. Mid-century ranches, larger custom homes, and everything in between. Generous lots with mature trees mean the truck might be parked a good distance from the front door. That's fine. Our crews plan for it. We bring enough equipment and enough people to keep the move efficient even when the path from house to truck is longer than usual.
For larger Hope Valley homes, we recommend full-service packing the day before the residential move. A 4-bedroom house with a full kitchen, home office, and garage can take our crew 4 to 6 hours just to pack. Splitting it over two days keeps things organized and means nothing gets rushed on move day.
If you've got a 4-bedroom in Hope Valley and you're heading across town, we'll probably recommend packing the day before. Call us at (919) 682-2300 and we'll walk through it with you.
