Wooded Lots, Careful Loading
Wooded lots with mature trees. That's the first thing we think about on a Woodcroft move. We take care to protect landscaping and use plywood runners when we need a path across the lawn to the truck. Low-hanging branches get accounted for when we position the vehicle. Root systems near the driveway mean we're careful about where and how we park. Your yard should look the same when we leave as it did when we pulled up.
Most Woodcroft homes are split-levels, colonials, and ranches built in the 1970s through 1990s. Split-levels mean stair carries on at least part of the furniture, but the stairs are wider than what you'd find in a 1920s bungalow, so the work goes smoothly. Colonials have a full second floor, which adds time but nothing our crews aren't used to handling every week.
The neighborhood is well-established and sits between Southpoint and downtown Durham. Families have been here for years, which means some of these homes have accumulated decades of belongings. Full-service packing the day before the residential move is worth considering for larger homes. Our crew can pack a 4-bedroom house in about 5 to 6 hours.
